Tuesday I visited the kids at Summit Drive Elementary in Greenville.  They were having a great time on their pirate field day.  It was like coming home because my kids and my husband all attended Summit.  Thanks for making me feel welcome!

Last Week, I had the opportunity to attend Etna Elementary and Pataskala Elementary in Pickerington, Ohio.  We had a terrific time reading together and talking about books.  The weather was great too.  Did you guys arrange that just for me?

I really had fun at Christ Church Elementary on Friday.  We talked, read, and just had fun together.  You folks asked some terrific questions.  Keep up the great reading and writing.

Here’s to the kids at Berea Elementary.  We had a great time reading together at my old Elementary Alma Mater.  You guys Rock!

Hey everybody! I had a great time working with the librarians at the M L A. in Lansing. What a blast. I even got to catch up with an old friend.

I just got back from SoMirac in Baltimore, MD.  I got to visit with children’s literary greats like Avi, Richard Peck, Pam Munoz Ryan, Loris Lesynski, Alice McGill, and so many more.  I can’t name them all.  The teachers there are hooked on giving their kids a real love of literacy to get them ready for whatever they’ll need in the future.  You folks are fantastic!  We like to talk about SOUTHERN HOSPITALITY  here in South Carolina, but we sure haven’t got a monopoly on making people feel welcome.  I had a wonderful time.  THANKS!

In February, I visited three wonderful schools in the Rock Hill, Fort Mill area of SC.  Orchard Park, Ebinport and India Hook Elem schools.  I can’t tell you how much fun we had reading together and acting like pirates.  Sorry it’s taken me so long to get this up on the blog guys but YOU ROCK!!!!!!!!  Thanks for the great visits.

I visited some of the kids at Calhoun Academy of the Arts in Anderson, SC on Friday.  What a creative bunch and I really had fun talking to them.  Keep up the good work kids!
